The -1 degree site visit!

Over the past dozen+ years I've given tours of the barn and grounds in all kinds of weather conditions, but I think last night set a record for the coldest tour ever! Greg and Rebecca wanted to see the barn asap and a 7:15 pm date was set for last night - Monday, February 17th. They already knew what magnificent views we have here in The Mad River Valley as Greg's family has a second home in Warren - right next door to us - (more on his parents in a moment!). I put on every property and barn light I could to try and make the site look as warm as possible, but with a -1 temperature, I think the tour was the fastest I've ver given despite appropriate warm boots and clothing all around! Hats off (or 'on' in this case) to our hardy couple who will host their wedding here this Fall!  Oh - and the tickle for me, is that I worked with Greg's parents at the Seafood Shanty in Edgertown, Martha's Vineyard during my summer breaks from Umass, Amherst when we were all late-teen to 20-something whipper-snappers!
