The Mad River Valley is a convenient get-away location for your guests, drawing visitors from Montreal to the north, Boston to the southeast and New York City to the south. Although we are not an inn or bed and breakfast, there are wonderful housing options within walking distance of the barn and in the surrounding Mad River Valley. They include rental homes, condos, motels, inns, B&Bs and hotels.

Van Dyke house - Waitsfield Commons
• A great resource for guests who want to rent a house during their stay in the Mad River Valley is HomeAway.com. For guests who would like to stay within walking distance of The Skinner Barn there are a number of options. One of our favorites just up the road at the Waitsfield Commons is the Van Dyke house.
• The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce is another great resource for the lodging community in The Valley. There you will find not only lodging information, but also resources for dining, activities and services.

The Sugarbush Inn • 1840 Sugarbush Access Road, Warren VT
• If you'd like your guests to stay in one location, a good option is the Sugarbush Inn on the Access Road to Sugarbush Resort. The inn has 42 rooms and can accommodate 85+ guests. You can reserve the whole inn and use it as a focal point for a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, morning-after brunch, etc.
